A real estate development professional with more than three decades of experience, Paul Kerley of Salem, Oregon, currently heads Commercial Property Resources, Inc., as president. In recent years, Paul Kerley has guided the firm in the acquisition of properties such as the Carleton Way Apartment Complex in Salem, Oregon.


Located in the attractive neighborhood of Northgate, one of the city’s larger districts and a hub for transportation and commerce, the Carleton Way apartment complex comprises 19 units, all of which are one bedroom/one bathroom. In 2018, the complex was completely renovated, making each unit practically new. Each unit contains stainless steel kitchen appliances, a range, microwave, refrigerator, and dishwasher, and an outdoor deck. The complex is a short drive from popular Salem attractions such as the Chemeketa Community College Planetarium and the A.C. Gilbert’s Discovery Village.

A former real estate attorney, Paul Kerley leverages his experience in commercial real estate in managing his extensive asset portfolio. Recently, he purchased the Kenneth A. Holmes Office Building.

Located in the business district of Central Salem, the Kenneth A. Holmes Office Building is a 45,000-square-feet, multi-tenant, Class B property. This building was constructed in 1964 and initially served as office space for Key Title Company before becoming the property of Kerley Properties, LLC, changing ownership for the first time in over 30 years. While occupying the property, Key Title Company was the largest family-owned title company in Oregon.

The Kenneth A. Holmes office building features 22,000 square feet of office space and 182 available parking spaces. The property sold for $3 million, and SMI Commercial Real Estate, LLC, and principal broker, Gabe Johansen, represented Kerley Properties, LLC, during the transaction.
